Not sure what to say?

Judge Leavy attended my Church, and I discovered that we both shared a passion and love for our Irish heritage. I knew and was friends with his lovely daughter, Mary Kay before her sad passing a few years ago. You didn't have to be a close friend of Judge Leavy or even to have known him for very long to know that he was genuine and the "real deal." I only pray that our dear Heavenly Father gifts us with more humans like Judge Leavy. He leaves behind big shoes to fill.

So sorry to hear about judge Ed Levy. He was such a great person and friend. Ed and Eileen were great friends and my blazers buddies that we set next to during blazer games and cheered them on for many years. My condolences to their wonderful family and my heart goes out to them.

Judge Leavy had such an impact on my career and my life. My clerkship in 1981 was like a 4th year of law school - he taught me so much ! Not just about the law, but how to analyze and solve real world problems. He had such grace and wisdom and patience. I was so honored to work for him.

Judge Leavy was the sweetest, most patient judge I have ever worked with. His patience was instrumental in successfully mediating, for almost a year, the pension fraud cases from all over the country in the face of daunting circumstances, His jovial attitude, professionalism and hard work lead to his many successes in the law, as a judge and in life. It was my honor to have worked with him, ridden in his tractor and to have shared many moments of laughter that broke up tedious work of...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

He was the mediator in regards to the Salazar Settlement. My sincerest condolences.

We on the Court of Appeals will miss Ed greatly. He was a model judge for many of us.

I joined the Lane Co. D.A.'s office in 1976 and met Judge Leavy as he was saying good bye to Judge Helen Frye. A shiny 26-year old prosecutor in a polyester suit, Judge Leavy shook my hand, laughed, and told me about a deputy sheriff who hid behind trees just to catch a local rancher for driving his tractor without a proper sign on a country road from his field to the barn. Judge Leavy said the most important part of my job was to use good judgment and not use the law to get an unjust...

In memory of an amazing man who will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
