Not sure what to say?

As Former seminarian who left the seminary the same year that Ned was
ordained, I connected with him and renewed our friendship shortly after he left the priesthood. I would visit with him in the halfway house that he ran in New York City and marvel-led at the ease with which he related to the young men under his charge, speaking and interacting so naturally and appropriately while still remaining their director. We had many fun nights together over drinks and dinner, chatting...

Dear Maria, Sean and family: I am so shocked and saddened by the passing of Ned. He was a truly wonderful and gentle man who inspired many to look at youth involved in the justice system as children who deserved love, care and our best efforts for a better life. Dear Maria and Sean, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have such fond memories of your family during the time I babysat for Sean in the North End. Ned was such a kind man. I would stare at that Bobby Kennedy bust when Sean fell asleep, and think "oh my gosh, who am I babysitting for?" Sending love and prayers, Gretchen McGonagle Saunders

I will miss Ned so much. I knew him only in a professional context, but he has been part of my life since the late 1980s. I did several projects with him and saw him at dozens of conferences and meetings over the years. I'd see him from across the room at some conference hotel and his eyes would twinkle and I knew I was about to have an enjoyable...

Sean - I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. What a impressive life he led. Know that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your Mom.- Michele

I will always remember how hard you and Sean tried to meet my family at Nairobi Airport when you were on Safari. You had a tremendous impact on those of us who were blessed to know you and your wonderful family. RIP Mzungu!
