Dear Family of Edward B. Lubbers
We are sorry to have learned of the death of Edward Lubbers. We are the Compassionate Friends, an organization to help parents, grandparents, and siblings in the process of bereavement.

My younger son Cameron, just 20 years old, was killed twelve years ago and the Compassionate Friends helped me immeasurably with this tragedy.
We are thinking of you and send our most...

I met Ed when he used to come to the hospital. He was very pleasant and was very patient. He liked to sit on the window sill and enjoy the sun.All the staff liked him.A friend told me of his passing. My sympathies are with you.

Ed was such a wonderful, caring man. He was so courageous through his battle with cancer. He will be missed very much. Please take care Deb. Linda L. Levesque

A kind man. Always had a joke for you.
Sad for what he and his family went
through. His smile will be missed.
Zan

Today I looked at my pictures from Patrol 39, summer 1978 on the USS Woodrow Wilson (SSBN-624). Although I have not seen Ed since our youth and last corresponded with him some ten years ago, I wept. “Sailor, Rest your Oar”. Your Shipmate, Patrick Banks

Ed was a joy and a "bright"spot to those of us at the Post Office who knew him and worked with him. His fight was courageous and inspiring. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Debbie, and all your family. Andrea

I can't imagine the tough times your family went thru during his illness. I haven't seen Ed since last april at the Post Ofiice but I am glad he is at peace.... Sincerely Linda Lapierre(coworker)

Debbie: Was so sorry to read about Ed's passing. Since I hadn't worked in his doctor's office for so long I didn't know how sick he was. My deepest sympathy to you and yours. Bette
