Such happy memories of our dear friend Ed,

I roomed with Ed our senior year at Episcopal High School. Following graduation, (somehow we managed not to get kicked out!) I spent the summer with the MacMahons while Ed and I worked construction. It was 1978, "Grease" had just come out, and little Helen filled the house with her renditions. Paul was figuring out what to do after college, Margaret had a job in Middleburg, Steve and John worked odd jobs around the farm. Years later Ed was in my wedding and we kept touch now and then. ...

It's the late 1980's. Three girls (Jamie, Kedra and me) meet for the first time three very handsome boys (Ed, Keith Wells and Jay West) at Sloan's in Charlottesville after a night of carousing. Two of the guys and two of the gals pair off which leaves Ed and me (a young married) sitting on the curb talking. The perfect gentleman he was. As Eddie´s EHS roommate, I bore early witness to his incredible character, intellect, friendship, and endless humor which I see he carried with him throughout life. God bless his soul and family. Mac"Hombre", may your next adventure be as full as this one was.
