Rest in peace, dear Ed. We can never fill your shoes but we will do our best to stand up for what can help save this beautiful fragile planet. Thanks for all you did and stood for.

I was shocked to see the Sierra Club's Bay Chapter meeting was to be adjourned in Ed's memory, as I hadn't learned of his passing.

I worked with him for years on climate change issues, and always found him to be thoughtful and courageous. We've lost one of the good ones!

Ed had unwavering commitment to the environmental and sustainability issues dear to his heart. I will always remember his steadiness in the face of tremendous resistance to the idea of Marin Clean Energy. I honor his integrity and willingness to sacrifice so much of his time and energy for the good of the planet and all of us. He will be missed.

Ed was perceptive, persistent, passionate and principled. When he spoke, I listened. When he wrote, I read his letters with care. Marin and our suffering planet lost a courageous voice for protecting the environment and her creatures. We will miss you dearly, Ed. But, we wear you in our heart cloths and carry on bravely inspired by your words and actions. With gratitude for your life.

Ed cared deeply about our future, and he taught me to listen.

Thank you Ed, for all you did for our precious planet! You will be greatly missed. We need more people like you if there's to be any hope for us.
