It’s strange how things connect sometimes. Yesterday I received a mailing from the American Legion to “Korea Veterans “ selling insurance of course. But it brought Eddie to mind, some conversations we had, settled in my condo and found this on email. Spent some minutes thinking about the Gas Co drafting room guys in the late 50s, early 60’s. It was a good time in our lives.

Dear Katherine, I was taken back in time when I read Eddie's notice. Roberta and I extend our prayers and condolences. We were quite a gang back in the drafting room in the late '50s and early '60s. All young veterans, we not only worked together but had a lot of fun together. Mostly I remember that . Be well, Arthur McRae

I knew Ed for most of the 41 years I worked at Boston Gas. He was a strong union man who fought for benefits that Gas Co. employees, active and retired, still enjoy.
Ed was also a fun guy to be around. I have many pleasant memories of enjoyable conversations we had at Doyle's and the Midway Cafe.
My condolences to Ed's family and his many friends.
