There are many UMies who started a successful life with words of wisdom and sometimes a small loan from Eddie. He was a great friend and mentor and will be mourned by all of his UMass sons. My condolences to the Mantovani family. Ed was very kind to me and many of my Sigma Phi Epsilon brothers during our UMass tenure. At our annual get together on Cape Cod each August someone will bring his name up as we recall our UMass days. We all have fond memories of him. God bless.
