Mr Markey, St Mikes was at there BEST, when Mr Markey was running the operations, never been the same, but now he has a undefeated record in Heaven.

Ed and family, So sorry to hear about the passing of your father. So many fond memories of him first as a baseball umpire and then as a loving father of you and your sister. And who can forget the purple car??
I am sure you will be left with many good memories as time passes.

While I was a student at BHS , class of '63 , Mr Markey frequently umpired our baseball games . A rare blend of fairness and a sense of humor , which none of us that played , will ever forget . To this day , I can't go past Smalley Park , and not think of Ed Markey !

Please except my deepest sympathies, when I was a young boy, we would go to St Mikes to play basketball, Mr Markey would see that we where kids, as long as you had sneakers you could play, great mentor great man, those were the good old days.
