Edward Marsh

I am sorry to hear of Edward's passing. I was a friend for many years while living in the Jones/Marcellus area. After joining the Michigan State Police in the early 1970's, and departing for other areas in the state, I was unable to return often. I will miss him and my prayers are with his friends and family.

I didn't know Ed all that well. I had heard good things about him though. I recollect a conversation we had over beers after Dutch DeGroot's retirement from the USAF. Ed guessed I didn't hear very well as I had to lean toward him to hear what he said. Ed was easy to talk to and I developed an immediate liking for him and will always recollect the occasion of Two Old Veterans of the Vietnam War, who served in The Americal, but talked about their "ears". Ed was very active in the Americal Division Veterans Association and was elected to the office of National Commander for a two year term. He accomplished much during this time. He will be missed but he will not be forgotten.
