Not sure what to say?

I still remember those long afternoons of football practice at Blunt Park and Coach Mason constantly scrutinizing every detail and barking out his "tough love" criticisms to get you to try even harder. How could that have been 60 years ago and yet the images remain so vivid?

I enjoyed attending Mr Masons camp in West Whatley I was honored to have had him as a mentor.

To the Mason Family, Sandy and the Manzi kids,
I was very saddened to hear about passing of Ed. I have thought about him often over the past few years and how he was doing. He was a a great man and I enjoyed listening to his football stories.

God bless you all.

To the Mason Family,

Coach Mason was a great teacher, a great coach, and a great human being! His legacy will live on in the lives he touched with his decency, generosity, and caring.

Peace be with you,

Dave, I am deeply saddened and so sorry to hear that he has passed. He was a great coach and an even greater person. I thought of him many many times over the last 50 years. He surely kept me on the straight and narrow in my three years at Tech, and I am forever grateful to him simply because he always cared. I know that you and your family are very proud of him, and all that he has accomplished and represented. I have been truly blessed and privilaged to know Coach, and to have experienced...

Sandy,
What can I say I have known you and your family my whole life. The passing of your father has made me stop and remember all the good times I have spent with you and your family. Your dad was A great man and A wonderful father to you and your brothers. He never raised his voice in anger he always took the time to sit down with you and talk things out. Your family was my second family growing up I will hold A loving memory of your dad in my heart always.

Tony, I was saddened to hear of your loss. Your father accomplished so much in his life. God bless you and your family.

Dave: I'm so sorry to learn of the passing of your father. As a WSHS student during his tenure he was one of my favorite teachers and coach. He will be missed.

To the Mason Family: I graduated from Tech in 1964. I was on the football team for only my junior year under Coach Mason. I was pretty skinny at the time and never played in a single varsity game. Although I was mostly a blocking dummy during practices for the starting players, and the Coach soon understandably forgot my name, I never forgot him. He was tough and demanding, always wanting you to try your hardest. To me, he was larger than life; in my mind, he was Vince Lombardi. Only a few...
