Not sure what to say?

Hello to the children of Ed. I have been his friend since we both were widowed and we stayed in touch via email. We visited in person several times. I wrote to him last week to wish him happy birthday and thought it strange that he did not reply. I Googled his name and sadly found his obituary. Our Deepest Condolences to the family. He was a warm and generous man. The Robertson and Harden families.

Ed was great force in the lives of many. He believed in people and championed those who had the will to succeed in lives challenges. This was true in all walks of life. His energy and smile will be missed by many.

He was a true people's person. He always had a listening ear for all. I have worked with Ed for 35 years.

Edward R. Matthews was force to be reckoned with. His innumerable contributions in the field of intellectual disabilities is tremendous. He forged a legacy that will be remembered for many years. Ed will be sorely missed, both personally and professionally.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed for many years. No could be a better advocate for people who could not represent themselves. Not only was he a fighter but someone committed to developed services for those people he was fighting. A strong person who certainly cared about the people he advocated. Ed walked the walk. He will surely be missed by all involved in this industry. My condolences to his family and all the wonderful staff at Adapt.

My condolences to Ed's family, Linda Laul and to the Adapt Community Network.
