Not sure what to say?

Edward was my first professor. I remember his anecdotes about how he could cut costs on electricity, and get the most value of buy lottery ticket but never checking if he had won or not. 20 years later, I still have a scratch ticket I've never touched. I would see him often in town, and go to autozone to say hello and get some wipers or a bulb and he always remembered my name. I grieved when they pulled off his obit from the bulletin board and told me had passed. I had/have a lot of love and...

What can you say about Ed? He was the best. He loved his daughters fiercely and was so proud of them. He was the kind of guy that brought intelligence and hope to any situation. I didn't know Britany all that well save for the few times she came by autozone. Always friendly.
If you got to meet Ed you were blessed. I'll always remember him and what I learned when we worked together.

Such a sad and tragic loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. May you find strength and solace during this difficult time.

Iris, Chelsea and Suzanne, I am so saddened to hear about the loss of Ed, and of your beloved daughter/sister. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I was a classmate of Ed's at Harvard Business School, and I can tell you that Ed left a strong and lasting impression on me. (Iris I remember thinking how cool it was for you and he to have a REAL apartment at Peabody :). Ed made a strong , but indirect statement to us all in Section D the very first time we met him. He arrived late to class,...

I remember talking with Ed about music, education, economics and science at Auto Zone. He was a sweetheart, smart, funny, with a sharp wit and great taste in bands. Even in our passing conversations, he mentioned how proud he was to have raised such smart, independent daughters. The world is a much more interesting place because he spent time in it. My heartfelt condolences to Ed and Brittany's family and friends. You are in my thoughts.

Professor McGrath was my teacher for economics at HCC, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that he was one of the best I ever had in any subject. I am quite saddened to find out about this and I wish it wasn't true.

I met Ed at Holyoke Community College, where we both worked, he as a faculty member and I as an administrator. Where did we meet? In the parking lot, having parked our equally old Volvos next to each other. He was a great source of advice about parts (and work-arounds when parts weren't available). I wish I had known him outside of our busy routines at HCC, for we would have discovered more similarities in our lives. I give a cheer to Ed for having lived the life he wished, with its many...

I found out today about Ed and Brittney's passing. I was a friend of Ed's in college and had not seen him in many years, but just recently connected with him on Facebook.I am so very sorry for your loss. Ed had an energy that filled a room, and I would imagine heaven just got a bit brighter with his entrance. May God comfort you in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Paula Kingsley FitzGerald

I was a classmate of Ed's from junior high through high school. The fake UFO photo, the war protest arm bands, the music -- all part of his fun-loving, good-minded, brilliance that opened the eyes of many of us who were fortunate to share those years with him in Shrewsbury. My deepest condolences to his family & friends.
