Marlowe:

I offer my deepest and most sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your father. I don't know if you remember me telling you this when we were in college. I was Mayor for the day (during high school local government in action week) when I was at Laney and I had the opportunity to spend an entire day with your dad as Mayor of Augusta. He was truly a great Mayor, innovator, mentor, and a King among men. Unfortunately, I could not attend the funeral but...

Mr. McIntyre was a great leader and a great man in our time. We will truly miss him. He would sometime call or stop by to see how we were doing. He changed ALL of our lives, forever. God Bless you all.

I have lost a good friend and Augusta has lost a leader. We will never stop mourning this loss. He is seen in every corner of our city and will always be remembered.

With sympathy to the Family,
