Not sure what to say?

While it wasn't in the cards for Ed and I to grow up together as Brothers, I sincerely thank God we did meet almost 30 years ago. I do wish we would have had more time together to explore our individual memories of days gone by as well as family members now long gone. Ed was a very important person in my life, and while he didn't realize it, his positive impact on me will certainly last for the rest of my life. Ed, I miss and love you . . . and pray you are at peace now. Till me meet...

I just learned of Ed's passing in the Drexel U. College of Medicine Newsletter. I worked for/ with Ed in the late 1970's at CCMC, Methodist and Taylor Hospitals for over 3 years. Ed was an excellent mentor and colleague, and taught me a lot of medicine and how to interact with patients. I am very saddened and sorry to learn of his death; I wish Carla and the girls comfort in knowing what a great man Ed was.

I didn't get the opportunity to work with Dr. McLaughlin for very long, but I can say that he was an outstanding clinician who would always go the extra mile for all of his patients. He saved the life of my uncle in 2006, and I will always be grateful for that.

To the Big Brother I didn't know about for so long. I will surely miss you Ed. Say hey to our father, and till we meet again. Steve

I had the pleasure of working with Ed in the Crozer ER for many years and Ed was, by far, THE most competent ER physician I ever worked with. Emergency Medicine sorely misses docs like you. My deepest sympathies to your family and friends.

Ed, I can't think of the old ER without thinking of you. You were a superb diagnostician; the best. With love and condolences to Carla and all the family. Joanne Kenny

Ed was a tremendous physician and a superb emergency doctor. Regardless of the severity or complexity of a case it was always a delight to discuss it with Ed. He brought wisdom, compassion and enlightenment to the field of medicine. I miss him greatly.

He was an amazing Dr, one who was always there to help from a splinter to a major illness. Will be sadly missed.

Rest in Peace Ed...It was an honor to know you as family, as a friend and as a co-worker.
