To the Meara family,

My deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. It seems that he was a part of my entire life. Church, Trenton Country Club, Cadawalder Park tennis courts and of course the chamber of commerce where he and Ray Trainer conned me into to working the membership drive for years. He always had a smile and was always in control of every situation. A truly admirable man. His passing is the end of an era. Trenton was definitely a better place because of him!!

I worked with Ed at the State House in the Meyner administration. He was always a gentleman with a ready smile.

To Nell and all of the Meara family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He was indeed "one of a kind." Our paths crossed many times through the years and my fondest memory of him was of his devout love of Mercer County, especially his "hometown" of Trenton. We will think of him often and relish in the memory of the "good times." -- Jim & Sunny Fitzsimmons, Ocala, FL.
