Edward D. Melling, 64, beloved husband of Joan, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 2, 2001, 3-9 p.m., at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Road at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Road), Sterling Heights, Michigan. Further visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 1-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Lying in state on Saturday, August 4, 8:30-9 a.m., at St. Malachy Church, 14115 14 Mile Road, Sterling Heights. Memorial donations are appreciated to World War II Memorial, American Battle Monuments Commission, P.O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090-6766.
