Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Ed's death. I met Ed on the Shakespearean Summer School at Stratford on Avon in I think 1966 when I was a student at the University of Birmingham. It was an amazing week in Stratford and Ed was one of the brightest stars as well as so kind and interested in his fellow students. We kept in very occasional touch, he sent me his books and I was about to tell him of my new Shakespearean project when I read he had died. What a loss of a very remarkable and sweet person. A...

I had an apartment down the hall from Ed during my second year at Syracuse. He was a decent, kind man and a delightful raconteur. The world is diminished by his absence. My condolences to his family.

When I entered Syracuse University in 2006, Mr. Menkin reached out to my twin brother and I and took us Bronx kids to our first steakhouse meal. IZt was the first time I felt like a MAN! When i got in trouble with the law, Mr Menkin comforted my mother and gave us free advice. I will always love and respect Mr Menkin for keeping it real! Rest well EZM.

Eddie, as I knew him in the old days, was Mr. Bronx - Everyone knew him, or knew of him - He was a charmer and a lovely guy - he was my favorite Dance Partner through our High School Alan Freed Rock and Roll years - He at DeWitt Clinton HS, Captain of the Swim Team, a serious Bronxite, whether going to the then elegant Paradise Movie Theater, or at the Jerome `Avenue Bowling Alley or to the famous Jahn's for Ice cream - we remained friends through our years as English majors at CCNY -...

We were so fortunate to have Ed as a patient in our office(City Opticians)for over 20 years. We always looked forward to our visits where we discussed such things like family, travel and books as he was a prolific reader. Ed was a true gentleman and will be missed. Our sincere condolences to Ed´s family.

EZ Menkin was a mentor, a role model, and an inspiration as both an attorney and a human being. His unique style made an impact on all who ever saw him in action in a courtroom. Deepest sympathies to his family.

We remember Ed well. We ar from the same generation as he, and we enjoyed raising our children together. Ed was also a strong supporter and proponent of the University neighborhood. We could always expect and receive his support. Our condolences to you, Lauri, and to your dear children. He was an oversized presence. He will be missed.

A truly fine man, a great lawyer, and a friend I will miss very much. He was able to fight hard for his clients without being mean spirited. One of a kind.

Our sincere condolences on behalf of myself and my parents Bill and Dorothy Burke. Ed was a great joy to my father for many years.
