Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you Chris and your family. We loved Boomie!

Still missing you, Dad! Thanks for all your lessons, your counsel, your gifts, your love. RIP with mom!

Boomie was such a marvelous guy, who we met at Fantasy Camp in 1993 and enjoyed him on our team. A few years after that experience, he showed us around Lansing, including his law partners and their office! I already knew Dennis O. Cawthorne, who was from Manistee, and one hell of a great Rep. in the Michigan House! You can learn so much about a fella in the time spent, and everything Boomie "taught" us, I cherish! I never knew how educated he was, as he would befriend the poorest and...

My deepest condolences to the Mikrut family---my mother worked for Mr Mikrut for many years. He was an outstanding man in every way.

To the Mikrut Family,

I had the pleasure of "playing" with Boomie 25 years ago at the Tigers Fantasy Camp. Keith and Andy Stubl Bob Yates and I fell in love with this guy. When he found out we were from Manistee, he then told us Dennis Cawthorne was a partner of his. Your dad was like ours. God bless him for his long life.

Laura and the family-- My late uncle Andy (Webber, then heading Sales Tax) enjoyed your father a lot, and told stories of, yes, his acting, etc. I soon recognized the name as yours too--from Sexton, c. early '70s. My sincere condolences to you on losing an incredibly interesting father. He surely had a full and wonderful life.

I called Frank Kelley and he asked me to tell you how he always thought of Boomie as a friend and what a pleasant personality he had. Ditto from me. We loved E-Bommie!

Boomie became a good friend of my father (Billie Farnum)when he sat on the Municipal Finance Commission in the early 1960's. Then he became my friend offering his advice and counsel when I was a brand new attorney on the AG staff in 1980. He was a very kind and generous man.

My dad was a friend of Boomie's in high school and kept in touch with him over the years. In 1966, after my first year of law school, I needed a summer job, and my dad suggested contacting Boomie, which I did by sending a letter and resume. Boomie called (from his office at the Municipal Finance Commission) and invited me to an interview. When I walked into his office to meet him, the first thing he asked was "Are you Leo's son?" When I responded "Yes", he said he would find a position,...
