June, 2021. He coached me {on/off} in the late 60's, and 70's, at Mt. Scott boxing center on 72nd and SE Harold St. He was the best! I used to run a couple miles there in grade school, train for over an hour, run another mile around the area, then warm down on the speed and medicine bag. My dad would then pick me up after dark. At a match in Estacada, I found out I had a heart murmur and had to quite. I also saw and talked to him at a school gym on 82nd ave. {Madison HS?}, a gym on Union or...

Ed taught me a lot about life, and boxing. He will always be remembered by me as a good and descent man. He kept me on the straight and narrow when I needed it most, and he was a hell of a good coach.

Uncle Ed,
Even though I am your grand neice I never knew all the things you did in your life. I always had fun helping with the front desk at some of the Golden Gloves events and came to realize that you and Aunt Dorothy were really "into" the boxing thing. It wasn't until your passing that I learned to what extent you were "INTO" boxing. I am amazed and impressed. Love, Joany
