Not sure what to say?

Had the great pleasure of meeting Ed and Mary eight years ago. I will always think of Ed as one of the finest gentlemen I have ever met. My prayers are with the family at this most difficult time.

Sergeant Edward Mis was my first encounter as a Supervisor in 1974 at the Communications Section, NYPD. It was truly a pleasure to work with him. My condolences to his family.

Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am truly sorry for your loss. I remember when we were in high school and found out our Dads knew each other. My father never spoke of your dad without smiling. Now there is one more great man in heaven. I'm sure my Dad was there to welcome him with open arms.

Oh Ed! We love you so much and were so blessed when you and Mary came into our lives. Not one day goes by without thinking of our adopted grandparents! We will love you forever and are humbled knowing Xander has one more angle looking over him.

My condolences to the Mis family.I had the distinct pleasure of working with Ed at the Communications Division. He was one of the best Officers in the Department and an inspiration to the young Officers he supervised.

I had the opportunity to visit with Ed and his lovely wife Mary regularly. I looked forward to my hello hug every visit! I used to tell Ed how are you feeling today and he would laugh and say you know Felicia today was a little hard..I would smile and say you better stay alive I will accept nothing less! And he would say ok, ok Felicia I got it I will. He did a great job he stayed with us for a great long time! Thank you Ed I love you and you will be truly missed!

Please accept my deepest condolences and know I appreciated every minute of having the privilege of working under his tutelage at NYPD Communications Section and being trusted by him to work in the FATN room he personally ran for the Department, even being part of his little commuting group for awhile with this great man. Semper Fi.

My sincere condolences to the Mis family. I worked with Sgt Mis at NYPD Communications and he was one of my favorite bosses. I have many fond memories of him and although I hadn't seen him in many years, I thought of him often. I will never forget him.

Dear Uncle Ed, miss you already. Your nieces will never forget the dancing lessons. Love you.
