Edward "Ed" Mitchell Sr.

I met Ed at my mother's (June Beauchamp Todd) service at Elm Grove. He was sitting next to me and told me who he was and that he grew up on Stoney Hill in New London next to my Mom. He was a few years younger than my Mom but the families were friends. He shared a couple stories about my Mom, Uncle Dicky who was killed when he was 15 and my grandmother and how she always spoke Portugese to him. He was a kind ,caring man. Anyone who met my Uncle Ed could never forget him! He was the most gentle and loving person. He loved his country , the Marines, And most of all his family! I´m sure he´s training the Guardian angels on Marine tactics already!!

Ed was a true American Hero in every sense of American life! The sacrifices he made and the love he gave will most assuredly be rewarded in his next life!!!!
