SEYMOUR: Edward J. Najjar, age 75, of Seymour, entered eternal rest on June 1, 2023, in the comfort of his home, with his loving and devoted wife, Rebecca (Wilkitis) Najjar, by his side. 


     Edward was born in Derby on October 13, 1947, son of the late Clemens and Olga Brenia Najjar. He was raised in Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School. Later, he attended Sacred Heart University (2nd graduating class) where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Ed was employed as a cost accountant for Farrel Corp. in Ansonia for many years, until his retirement. He was an avid fan of UConn basketball, NY Giants and NY Yankees. 


     In addition to his wife Rebecca, he leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Clemens Najjar of Ansonia, brother-in-law, Walter Wilkitis (Mary Ann) of Seymour, a nephew, David Wilkitis (Maresa) of Milford, a niece, Wendy Chiappetta of Seymour, great-nephews, Cameron and Kyle Wilkitis and Aaron Chiappetta.


     Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family and pay their respects on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 8:30 to 10:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. His funeral will then proceed to the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Entombment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum in Derby.
