Not sure what to say?

I grew up with Eddie's great commercials. Reading about his passing away made me sad and then also brought back lots of nice memories. My father, now retired, an Irish immigrant, a gentleman, dapper and a physician must have liked Eddie also because he would take me along with him on trips (from Palos Verdes, CA) to the downtown Zachary Al store to buy his suits. Eddie would always call him "Dr.", treat him so nicely and was just the most professional tailor ever. Loved him. Thanks for the...

I was 7 years old and lived next door to Eddie on Saturn Street and was friends with his son. This was around 1960 before Zachary All was really big. I remember he would carpool us to school in the morning in a car that did not need a key in the ignition and that image stayed with me my whole life. Today I drive a car that does not need a key just like his. I really liked him and was glad to know him before he was famous. I can still hear his voice if I close my eyes.

I grew up outside of Los Angeles, and Eddie was a very iconic figure; he represented my first view of Miracle Mile. I am happy to live here now and become a customer of such a revered store. I think of him often as I drive past...

Your commercials are always in my memory and they have always put a smile on my face. A real stand up guy. Joe Tavares #385

I will miss you and your sincere commercials. Long live 5467 Wilshire Bl.

I am not kidding when I say that I will always remember Eddie and his on-air presence during my formative years in Los Angles. Thank you so much for so many memories.

Thanks so much for your enjoyable ads that I watched through my youth. My condolences to the Nalbandian family and its friends.

When I was graduating from Jr High , I asked my mom to take me to Zachary All to buy a suit. I was always watching movies KTTV and KTLA and those commercials were a huge part of my youth. When we got to the store Eddie was working the floor and waited on us personally! I was very excited and a little starstruck. I remember him being a true gentlemen who was very helpful to us.
Thank you Eddie for a wonderful memory and for sponsoring all those great old movies on TV. I may have never...

Some of the few TV commercials from late 60's TV that I just LOVED to watch were the ZACHARY ALL ones with "Eddie". Eddie had class and a certain sense of salesmanship with charm enough to make you want to buy a suit even if you didn't particularly need one.

Goodbye, Eddie. You will be missed.
