Ed was a terrific example of what it means to be a "gentleman and a scholar". I will miss our deep conversations about the world and Ed's unending sense of humor, especially about politics. Until the very end Ed could talk in detail about the Navy game from last weekend or a particular moment during his plebe year at Annapolis in great detail.
