Community was always at the center of Ted´s heart, and Portland is better for it. He sought the good in people and their endeavors, finding truth in their better angels - something I´ve always deeply admired. He was a community member and newspaper man of the highest order. I count myself lucky for our friendship and I will miss him. Thank you, Ted.

I was just at Teddys memorial. It was wonderful to see his friends and family. It was bittersweet. My heart goes out to Mrs Perkins, his little brother Carl, his dear wife Lisa and his best friend Joe.

I was fortunate to have had Ted as a childhood friend. I have many happy memories of Ted, his family, and our adventures in the neighborhood at the bottom of the hill. My condolences to the family.

Ted and I met through his work with the Beaumont Business Association and the Hollywood Star. We became friends for which I am forever grateful. Ted loved his family and his community deeply. His life, from what I saw, was an act of service. Thank you Ted for including me in your beautiful world.

Saddened at the The loss of Ted. Ted and I became friends when I moved into the neighborhood. We remained close friends for another 10 to 12 years. Ted was incredibly funny and very intelligent. A knack for great humor and timely punchlines. He always filled a room with laughter. He was just that funny. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and all who loved him. RIP Ted
