To SGT Philpot's family, I am a dutch soldier, who was in the same convoy as you'r loved Edward. We were heading to the Dutch 'kamp Holland' when this terrable accident happenned.

I didn't know Edward personaly, but i will remember him. I wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

To SGT Philpot's wife and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was his platoon leader in 2004 when I was in the SC Guard and the thing I remember about him is that he was always someone I could rely on and he always had a smile on his face. He was a good man and you have my deepest condolences.

We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families at this time. This is a Nonprofit Organization to honor are Soldiers!

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you...
