I can't believe so much time has passed since Edward went home to be with GOD. I think of Dottie often with very fond memories.

I first met Mr. Pickard on my first day as Physical Education Teacher at Dresden Elementary School. We instantly became friends. He assisted me in the running of after school programs at DES. He "worked" as a scorekeeper, official, and all around positive supporter of the students at the school. He was a valuable addition at our school. He was a positive influence in many of the students lives and will be sorely missed.

My most heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ted Pickard. Ted has been in my family for 45 years and I always enjoyed the rare visits. He and Dotty were so compassionate toward others, and he will truly be missed. He and Dotty were so kind to Grandpa and Grandma Elvin during their last years. I regret that I am in Tennessee and unable to give my moral support to the family. I will be with you in thought and prayer. Your cousin

My Godfather, Ted Pickard, was a wonderful man. Because of the distance between our homes, I was not able to see him often, but when I did, we had a wonderful time. I will dearly miss my Godfather but I know he is in peace.
