Not sure what to say?

After reading the other posts, I ordered his book fond memories, while reading it the memory listed as Paul, that is me. First time I met him, my brother and I were camped out on Red Creek near Ramsey Springs. He arrived after dark and we had two wood ducks on a spit over the fire. He inquired as to what we were cooking and included that he had two six packs of beer that he would trade for one. My brother looked him in the eye and said: you can have both of them. Ed and I hunted together on black creek when I was a lot younger to say the least. Ed and I were on a deer stand north of Vancleave when I killed my first deer. He had a remarkable run. The last time I saw him was he was a guest professor at Mississippi State. My wife and I had him out to the house for dinner. Was thinking of him today and goggled his name. Didn´t realize he had passed.

Hello - I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was my favorite professor at CalPoly Pomona (1997-2002). Ed was a renaissance man. It was an honor to know him.

I was just thinking of one of my favorite and outstanding professors in college. Googled Ed Pickard today. And discovered his passing. You will be missed. I will remember you for your charm and brilliant mind. R.I.P. to my favorite college professor(2000, Cal Poly Pomona)

You will be missed! Love Kay
