Not sure what to say?

I remember 'Mr. Pratt' very well. My 1st year at the brand new Longmeadow High School he taught my/our biology class: 1955-56. His enthusiasm & organization contributed to my plans for entering that field.. from which I retired as a professor emeritus .. dept. of biology & environmental science.

It is with great sadness that I hear of another of our wonderful LHS teachers death. We were so blessed to have great teachers who also cared. Mr. Pratt gave me my first job, for which I am grateful. My thoughts and prayers to all the family.
Sincerely, Kathy Wells Sailors LHS '59

Sue Dow, thank you so much for keeping us up to date with all of our favorite people at LHS. Mr. Pratt was probably responsible for my interest in the medical field and from that wonderful interest, my life just was so enriched. He was unforgettable and I loved his class. Our teachers were probably the best in the universe!

Nancy,

We were so sad to hear of the passing of yet another of our favorite teachers. It has been special for us to have so many of our high school teachers able to attend our numerous reunions. Peter remembers Ed as a young "20 something" when he first began to teach in Longmeadow. I remember his gentle manner, his wonderful smile and his biology class. He was a very special part of our first four years at the high school. Those were wonderful years and he was a big part of those...

When I think of Ed Pratt I think of a gentle soul who was respectful of his students. I'm sure he was one of my science teachers otherwise I wouldn't remember him so vividly, but it was over 50 years ago, so....He is and will continue to be remembered fondly.

My deepest condolences to the family. Ed was my 8th grade homeroom teacher at L Jr High (1954). A very dear man. His name brings back fond memories.

Sincerely,

David Merrill

My condolences to the family and friends of Ed Pratt.

He was a dedicated teacher, a helpful colleague and a cheerful friend.

I enjoyed working with him at Longmeadow High School.

He was one of our best.

Nancy - we are so very sorry to read of Ed's death. Peter had known him since high school days and I had the pleasure of meeting him at reunions so we both knew what a fine man he was and admired him. Our sincere sympathy to you and his family.
