Not sure what to say?

Rest In Paradise to an extraordinary professor and friend.

I often reflect on my junior college years in the Paralegal program at Lamar State College-Port Arthur. I can't imagine what those years would have been without Dr. Quist as my professor and friend. He often encouraged me to pursue my dreams of becoming a lawyer while reminding me "you're never too old to attend law school."

I know he would be proud to know that I have went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I will also graduate with a Masters degree in CJ...

As I looked through the comments about the "Quister" on this celebration of his life I remember his time here at KSHN. Frequently, i have memories about him and his contributions that made us better. I smile when I remember that I often suggested that he come up some worthwhile musings and talk a bit more on the air. We are not a more music - less talk radio station . He would come up with some excellent remarks proving that I was right and then a couple weekends later he would be back to...

I just now discovered the fact that Ed has passed. He was wonderful to work with at the radio station. He never had a bad word to say about anyone.

I can't believe this... I grew up with Eddie in the Westward First Ward ... we went to K-12 together... I remember many Sundays together at church and doing our best to not cause to much trouble... My fondness memory of him is the time he stood up for his moral beliefs in the face of strong peer pressure to engage... He just quietly got up and left ... I have thought about him so many times over the years but never reconnected... I should have tried harder ... until I see you again my dear...

Greetings and condolences to the Quist family. Our family loved Brother Quist!!

Where do I begin? He was so much more than a professor to me. I graduated from Lamar PA in 1999. Back then, he taught EVERY law class offered. I got to know him well. He was an amazing professor and mentor. I was really glad to be able to attend his memorial service yesterday. Hearing from each of his children is something I will never forget. The love he had for them was evident in everything he did. And I saw their love for him yesterday at his memorial. Beautiful service. Thank you, Dr....

Dr. Quist or Quister as some called him was such an inspiration. He was such a positive and passionate person who cared and loved each and every student he had the pleasure of meeting. I have very fond memories with his paralegal program that will last throughout my lifetime. It was such a pleasure knowing him and he will be greatly missed.

My heart is truly saddened by his passing. Quist was a great person with a big heart. He was more than a professor to so many of his students. His office door was always open no matter whether you needed help in a class or just an ear to listen. I will always cherish our talks and time together.

Fly high Quist now you can truly see the world.....
