Mr. Reed was my French teacher from 1970-72. He made our classes about more than the language; lessons and French Club were rich with history and culture.

I was a student of Ed Reed's from 1964 thru 1967. I studied French under him, but beyond that, he was a role model for me, as my own father had died in 1962. I touched base with him now and again. I remember visiting him once at the Fontanelle golf course club house. "Monsieur Reed", as we always called him, made this world, and my life in particular, a better place. God bless his memory.

So sad to learn of Monsieur Reed's departure from our mortal realm. I loved his stories of his travels through France when he was a young man. We shared a passion for history, and I always knew he would call me out when that topic was broached during French class. He challenged his students at all levels and never allowed us to slack. To Susan and the entire Reed family: Ed was a remarkable human being. I will always treasure my four years as one of his French students at North High. He left an indelible mark on the school and its graduates. Adieu, Monsieur Reed.

Ed was grew up in Iowa & knew a good can of Corn! Ed had a great sense of humor & had many friends whick I was fortunate to be one.

Ed was a magnificent educator As a Curriculum Specialist at North Hi He initiated many educational initiatives that were extremely helpful to the staff and students of North Hi Mr Reed was a very good fund raiser an was instrumental in promoting many scholarship efforts for the Vikings of Distinction A very fine person

I also had Mr Reed has my French teacher at North High, class of '74. He had a sense of humor that I always appreciated. Sincere condolences to his family and friends who I'm sure will miss him greatly.

Mr. Reedwas one of my favorite teachers even if I was not good in French. I loved his humor and how he never gave up on those of us who were French-challenged.
