Not sure what to say?

Even though I worked with Ned only for a short time, he made a lasting impression. A particularly memorable thing about him was his knowledge of the saints, which struck me because in my life only my aunts had that kind of knowledge (they are/were Catholic sisters).

Dear Justin and Kate,
Like Catherine and Mary, my daughters, I was both shocked and saddened to hear that your dad had died. I have so many fond memories of your dad. We not only attended Calvary together, but also rode the bus to work together. He was so proud of both of you and loved to talk about your accomplishments. Because we moved to Sarasota Florida in 1997 I only saw Ned when we came back for visits. It was always a joy to touch base with him and catch up on the two of you. I...

Dear Justin and Kate,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ned's death, and have been struggling all week to find the words to express my sentiments. As Mary descibed, Ned was close to our grandparents, and that relationship made us feel closer to him. Every time I came to town and visited Calvary with my family, I always made a point of catching up with Ned. He took great pride in sharing all the things you were doing, and would listen to stories from my work too. I remember...

Dear Justin,

I admired and respected your Father growing up at Calvary Episcopal Church. He and my grandmother, Judy Chambers, were close friends and he use to share funny stories with me. After my grandparents had passed, Ned would always contribute flowers every year in their name. I was always so touched by his thoughtfulness. I chose your dad to read at my wedding because of his strong faith and dedication to Calvary. He recruited me as a Eucharistic Minister which was such...

Dear Justin and Kate,
We send you our deepest sympathy. He was a wonderful man. I am JoRita's brother. I'll remember your father
in my prayers.

Justin,
Even though Page and I were never able to meet your father, we see his kindness and his beautiful soul as it is reflected in his son. You have told us many times how important, how pivotal he was in your life; how he helped guide you so that you were able to become the man you are today. His good work, his kind heart, his humor, his grace and his understanding are just some of the qualities he gave you. So, while we were unfortunate in not being able to meet the person, we are...

Dear Justin and Kate,
I worked with your Dad for a number of years. What a kind and gentle soul he was. May God bless Ned, and may He give you comfort as you deal with your loss.

We send our loving embraces to you, Kate and Justin, at this time. May flights of angels carry dear Ned to his heavenly rest.

Dear Justin and Kate, Your Dad was my best friend and confidante for 30 years. Recently we had an email exchange that expresses well one of the ways he encouraged and strengthened me in my life, which I think many others experienced from him as well.
I sent him a passage written by Henri Nouwen: "I am increasingly aware of how much we fearful, anxious, insecure human beings are in need of a blessing...We all need each other's blessings...To give a blessing is to affirm, to say 'yes' to...
