I remember you fondly, Ted - and miss your humor and energy -

I think of Ted often and of all that we did together at the OSU Library. Those were good times, for sure.

Ted was my favorite teacher at IBEU (Instituto Brasil Estados Unidos) in Rio de Janeiro (1972/77). American History and Literature. A great teacher and an exceptional fellow. It was an enormouus pleasure to meet him in Chigago in 1978. His lessons and considerations were gifts for the enrichment of English language and American Cutlure. Best memories. Saudades.

Ted was a cheerful and wonderful boss to work for in the Latin Studies Library at The Ohio State University. I'm a richer person having been in his presence for a short time. He was a rare and exceptional person for whom my words are not expressive enough. Godspeed sir.

I will miss you Ted. I didn't know you well but when you wrote reviews for my column they were wonderful. You were a gentle and loving man. Be at peace and may your family hold joyful memories of your life.

I very much enjoyed working with Ted and felt I was just starting to get to know him. He was a fun and very interesting person to get to know and I had a lot of respect for him and the work he did with Latin Studies. It was quite apparent that he had a deep passion for life and learning. I feel very sad that I will now not have the chance to have gotten to know him better. My sympathy to Ted's family and many friends.
