Not sure what to say?

to the Rodgers family,
I came to WPB in 1973 right from law school with much green/wet behind my ears. among my first encounters with judges during my formative PD days was this wonderful man. over the years I had many cases with him on the bench. while as with other judges, I did not always agree with his decisions, I NEVER felt that he failed to give my client a fair hearing and me the respect he gave all who appeared before him. he will be missed.

Palm Beach County and the state of Florida have lost a noble warrior in the struggle for justice and tolerance for all of its citizens - black or white; we in the legal community have lost a mentor and inspiration and I, personally, have lost a dear friend of over 50 years. He was kind and wise and so very modest , I once heard him say during a ceremony where he received several awards, " I'm like the turtle you find on top of a fence post. you know he didn't get up there by himself" . ...

Judge Edward Rodgers was a gift to our community. His courageous and successful efforts to eradicate segregation and the insidious discrimination against African-Americans in all places and situations, and the threats and obstacles he faced, could not remove or even diminish the dignity, graciousness and civility that were so ingrained in his spirit and his demeanor. May his noble soul rest in peace. Kenneth D. Stern, Circuit Judge (Ret.)

The Souls of the righteous, are in the Hands of God.
They shall not fear any evil tidings..
May Judge Rodgers, Rest In Peace, and, Rise In Glory..

My most cherished thoughts to the family of The victorious life of Judge Edward Rodgers.
I, grew up at his beloved church St. Patrick Episcopal Church, as an Acolye, and had ,wonderful, memories of his humanity in action..

Our last conversation at St Patrick's ,was, at the Mass, the day after the Requiem Mass, for the life and ministry of Fr. S.J Browne, former rector of St. Patrick's., with his serious, yet , pleasant manner, his conversation would always start with ,Church...

"A wonderful man"--says it all. I feel lucky to have known him. Condolences to his family who although in mourning can rejoice to have been blessed to have him in their world.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. May you always cherish the memories that you have with your loved one, and remember that God is always there for us like it tells us at 1 Peter 5:6,7. I hope you continue to feel love and support from your family and friends.
