Ed was my commanding officer at the Douglas County Sheriff´s Department from 1977-1982. First and foremost a great mentor, he taught me everything that I know about police work. Ed was a true cop´s cop, and always a consummate professional. My sincere condolences to his wife, Michelle, and their extended family.

Ed and I served together on the CIRSA Law Enforcement Advisory Board for many, many years. I represented Glendale and then Golden. We shared similar positions and often tag teamed our discussions. He was good people and an excellent police officer. Rest In Peace my friend.

Thank you Ed for the many special memories. Christmases in Castle Rock, back yard barbecues, family times at grandma's house. Thanks for serving our communities in law enforcement the endless and often thankless job you did to make this place a little safer and pleasant to live. We are going to mess you more than we have words for.
