Not sure what to say?

Rothblatt family -

I just learned of Ed's passing. We were clients of Ed's for many, many years, as were my In-laws. I am so sorry for your loss. I had a special place in my heart for Ed - I trusted him implicitly and so enjoyed his wisdom and humor. He was so very proud of his family - we talked often about our children and grandchildren.
My husband and I will miss Ed very much.
I pray that your memories will sustain you during this sad time.

Dear Fern & Family

I found out this morning that a great friend & the mentor to my profession had passed away. I have always had a very special place in my heart for the way Ed introduced me to public accounting way back in the very early 70's and taught me his skill as only he could do.

I shared an office with him on Ridgeway for several years, frequently spent my entire week with him and often think back to those days with great fondness. I remember Ed bragging we...

Dear Art & Family:
Ed was both counselor and friend in so many ways, particularly during my early years as a partner at Dechert-Hampe & Company. I shall always remember his answer whenever the year-end books at DHC were completed and we asked Ed, "How much have we made?"... and his answer, "How much do you want to make?". I believe he smiles on us all now from above.
Peace,
Dick Ranges

Dear Mrs. Rothblatt and family,

I knew Ed from our morning class with Rabbi Schwartz at the Chicago Community Kollel. Ed was an ardent participant and I always enjoyed his input with very logical discussions. He will be missed by all of us.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Moshe Cohen

Dear Fern, Art and Family –

It was with great sorrow that I learned of Ed's passing. It was 1973 when Ed first took this naive young fellow under his wing, and from that time on he was always a great adviser, mentor, confidant, advocate and, most importantly, always a trusted friend. He was a great influence on my life, and although he will be sadly missed, he leaves behind many fond memories and life lessons. Please know that our family’s thoughts and prayers are with you and...

Dear Ed's Family:

Ed was first my account in '75, and was until just 3 yrs ago when he had to cut back on clients, and over the decades became a great friend and confidant. What a sweet, wonderful man who had an intellect beyond comprehension. I'll miss our lunchs of 'Soup and 1/2 Sandwich', Ed...
