Ed and Dolores touched the lives of so many of us. Through their active involvement at Mims Elementary, in the City of Mission committees and politics, and in the art community Ed and Dolores shared their love of learning and their love of life. As the welcome sign on their front door said, "Love Spoken Here". They spoke LOVE not only through their words but thorough their actions.

It is with heavy heart that I read about the passing of Ed Sandy. Ed was a mentor during my high school years and provided the perfect example of what hard work and dedication could bring. He had my highest admiration. Dolores was always kind and upbeat and a shining example as well. I speak not only for myself, but for my late father Colonel Len Turoski, one of Ed's best friends, that Ed and Dolores will be sorely missed. God bless.

Ed was a pleasure to have in my painting workshops. His dedication to his art, the progress he made, his helpfulness in any situation and his overall niceness made him one of my most memorable students.

Lt. Col and Dr. Sandy were wonderful volunteers at Mims Elementary in Mission. They shared their love of art and compassion with the staff and the students. They made quite an impact on everyone. Their inspiration encouraged the staff and students to try their hand in watercolors. Many beautiful pieces have graced the halls in Mims Elementary. Hard to believe that Col.
