Although I carry Mr. Scott in my heart, I still feel his loss, one year later. But my world is a better place for having had him in it.

It's impossible for me to remember the great experiences of Pingry without visualizing track and field with Mr. Scott. His kindness, expertise and ability to inspire effort came through his leadership by example. He was a generous giver of his time and knowledge that taught lasting lessons to those of us lucky enough to call him coach.

He treated me as a mentee, and I learned so much from him. Til the last time I saw him, even though we were colleagues at that point, I...

To the Scott family, please accept my deepest condolences. Mr. Scott was one of my favorite teachers at Pingry, and I fondly remember him in his windbreaker holding a stopwatch and clipboard. May he RIP and Godspeed to this humble, kind and generous soul.
