My Dad was at the Battle of the Bulge.13th Artillery Brigade. He spoke highly of the paratroopers and their courage. He also refused to go behind the lines for medical treatment with frostbite, and pneumonia until the breakthrough by the Allies happened. He hardly talked about the war, and always said that the heroes are all buried over there.I am glad that both of you made it back to Stateside. Just so happens I just bought & watched the DVd "Band of Brothers" , having been born in 1941 I am so glad they were there keeping the World safe for us, and doing away with the Nazis!.... I will keep Edward's picture in the DVD case for as long as I have it...... My condolences to the Family.
