Not sure what to say?

Time has not diminished our fond memories of Ed and Helen. Our lives are better for having known them and considering them friends. Richard Cook and Teresa Lahti Allegheny College

Ed and Helen are still remembered so fondly by us and by countless others who got to know them and who benefitted from their belief in education and deserving students. There is a warm place in the hearts of Allegheny College graduates, faculty, and staff for Ed and Helen.

I send my love and friendship to Helen and family in the loss of Dr. Shanbrom. I met Helen after David's passing, and felt privileged to know him through the love of his parents. Deepest condolences from Nancy Ludt (Bereaved Parent Support Group)

Please accept my deepest condolences in the recent passing of Dr. Shanbrom. And please accept my heartfelt thanks for his extensive work in hemotology. Without it my son, who is a hemophiliac, might not be alive today. I am deeply indebted to Dr. Shanbrom.

My thoughts and prayers for the family at this time. I send my love to Sue and those affected by his passing. Dianne Davis

I had the privilege of working with Ed on a number of his projects as a writer; his curiosity, strong drive and absolute refusal to simply, blindly accept scientific orthodoxy was refreshing and remarkable. His mind had a way of cutting through clutter that still inspires me. And I'll never look at a bar the same way again....

Dr. Shanbrom's legacy at Allegheny College is one of massive proportions. His work and generosity inspired a generation of students to expand their studies and their minds in most positive ways. We send our sincere condolences.

Dear Shanbrom Family -

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Michele Morgan

Ed was a remarkable person in every way. We should all wish we ourselves could make such a difference in the lives of others. He will be missed but not forgotten by his countless friends and beneficiaries of his humanity. Our sincere condolences to his loving family.
