GILBERT - Services for Edward Maurice Lee Shealy, 67, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Powell and Rev. Barry Owens; interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Dole, David Driggers, Gary Monts, Sam Geddings, Don Kyzer, and Roy Kopaz.
Mr. Shealy passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Wingard and Eva Hulon Shealy Priester. Mr. Shealy retired from Southern Plastic after 44 years of devoted service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a loving father and grandfather; he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Wayne Plemmons of Gilbert, Sharlene and Lin Westmoreland of Gilbert; sons, Mark Slusher of Gaston, Jamie Shealy of Columbia; grandchildren, Matt Westmoreland, Andrew Plemmons, Abby Slusher, and Mark Edward Shealy-Slusher.
