I'm so sorry to read of Eds passing. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for his Ford trucks here at Delehanty Ford for many years. We will miss his frequent visits very much.

SLOCUM, EDWARD – of Flushing Michigan, age 75, died Sunday December 10, 2017 at his residence.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon December 19 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday December 20, at Calvary Apostolic Temple, 1013 Hughes Avenue, Flint. Pastor David Rouleau will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Edward was born on November 2, 1942 in St. Louis, Michigan.
Edward was a beloved member of his church family. After retiring from General Motors, he loved traveling, doing woodworking at his home, and being with his friends, enjoying life. He is preceded in death by his devoted parents, Wilton and Georgeanna Slocum. He is survived by his loving sister Phyllis and Christopher Bird of Irving, Texas.

Edward was a very special man. I was blessed to have met him back in 1993 at V-8 Engine. In the past five years we met monthly at the Court Street Deaf Senior Citizen meetings. My family & I are going to miss his infectious smile and his kind heart.
