Not sure what to say?

Ed had a strong influence on my choosing to be an appraiser some 42 years ago. I always considered Ed my mentor and more importantly my friend. My wife and I send our condolences to Cornelia and family, he will be truley missed....

we will miss Mr. Smith strolling along the 9th st market on his way to church or the Villa Di Roma restaurant. The ladies at the flower shop.

Even though I only saw Ed for a few minutes every Saturday, he surely made an impression on me. I'm sure everyone who stands in the back of Old St. Mary's before the 4:30 Mass will agree. I enjoyed your wisdom, insight and humor and it will be never be forgotten. When I look out on Saturdays I will see you sitting in the pew and holding hands with your beloved wife Corky after receiving communion. I will miss you Ed.

As I think back about my childhood in Wayne, I can clearly remember Matt's Dad. He was always outspoken, but kind to me. Many of the things he said made me laugh, that is my strongest memory. He will be in my prayers.

I remember cousin Ed with a smile always for us. My condolences to his family and all who feel his passing. May he rest in peace.

Cornelia Smith
We would like to remember all the things that Ed was famous for like his laugh, smile and his ability to have a conversation with just about anyone. We enjoyed seeing you both at Vila Diroma on Saturday nights. We always enjoyed Eds company and all he was short on conversation. He will always be in our thoughts a and prays. Another Edward D. Smith passes....what, are we down to two now? Warm thoughts go out to Irene and Matt and Becky at this time...try to remember the good times...Edward D. Smith, formerly of Penn Valley; now living in Benton, Pa

Opinionated but lovable man, Ed was always ready to give you his opinion and stand up for any friend. Will miss you, cousin.

Ed will be in our prayers
We were fortunate to have ed as a relative and dear friend.
