Just want to mention again how much my family appreciated Judge Smith's kindness when he heard our request for legal guardianship of our severely disabled son.

We will always appreciate the kindness Judge Smith showed us when we petitioned for guardianship of our severely disabled son.

What was the cause of His Death ?

I was the plaintiff in the matter of DiGiovanni vs. Amazon. I got to know Judge Smith for all of about 15 minutes in a venue motion teleconference during the course of this somewhat complex litigation. By the end of this motion hearing, Judge Smith had the entire case settled to everyone´s satisfaction. Judge Smith was an unbelievable and remarkable individual! He was a wonderful & positive role model for so many of my students and was always willing to provide them with many unforgettable experiences and opportunities! Judge Smith made a great difference in and impact on so many lives. I also had the absolute pleasure of Judge Smith officiating my wedding several years ago! A time I will treasure forever! Our sincerest condolences to the Smith family. Ed married my father and his wife on my birthday December 5,2009 at my father's house. She passed away in 2018. That was the first time I met Ed. What a true and kind gentleman. May he rest in peace.
