Mr. Soares was my high school social studies teacher ,he was a terrific teacher and seemed to take a great interest in everyone´s progress ,Later,I would always see he and his wife at Catholic mass ,he was such a fine man and really lived God`s word. he was a very friendly man and always had a smile on his face Mr Soares was a great teacher and made a difference in so many kids lives May he rest in peace

Ed Soares was a great teacher, but more important to me, he saved my life, and my father's life. As my driver's ed instructor he insisted we wear our seat belts; to the point that I made my parents wear theirs whenever I drove. I'd just had my permit a few months when my father and I were rear-ended by a guy in a 1963 Oldsmobile with a steel frame, going 70 mph. He didn't see us, stopped to make a left turn, until he hit us. It knocked us over 300 yards, towards a grove of trees. The car's...

Mr. Soares was my civics teacher my senior year at Hanford High 1971. He was a great teacher. Great person. May all his family be at peace knowing that a lot of people will miss him.

Mr. Soares was a great teacher! I was fortunate to have him as a teacher in 1978. He always went above and beyond to support his students. He encouraged me to reach my full potential in life. He had a tremendous impact in my life. As a result, I went into education for my career and worked at COS for 40 years before retiring. He truly made a difference in my life, and I will forever be grateful. I will always have fond memories of him and he will never be forgotten. May his family find peace...
