Edward Michael Southerland

It was through the action and assistance of Edward Southerland that I was able to meet the family of Bill Reese, the fighter pilot who was shot down in our area in August 1944. I also had the great pleasure of meeting him during my visit to Sherman.I was able to have a very rewarding correspondence with him afterwards. He was a man of great culture.
I assure his brother and his entire family of my deepest sympathy and extend my very sincere condolences.
