Not sure what to say?

Mom, Dad and I will always remember, respect and never forget you. And though you were not able to be part of my wedding two years back I still feel you were a part of it (and with memories all my life long). Used to love to see you at your parents home at Christmas, wonderful, wonderful memories with wit and life's experiences so becoming of a priest. Thank you for having let us into your world.

Fr. Stackpoole was my Shakespeare professor at USF in the early 90's. I'm confident that I speak for countless students when I remember him as a gentleman and a scholar. He was always a joy to run into the years since. His life was a blessing to me.

To Mary Liz, Teedee and all of Father Ed's Family--

Deepest sympathy and prayers from the Denning Family--We remember fondly the fishing trips to Markleeville. Now our loved ones are together fishing in God's rivers.

I wish to extend my condolences to Fr. Stackpoole's family and his friends in the Jesuit and U.S.F. community. As a former student in Fr. Stackpoole's first Chaucer class after his return from Oxford, I recall his enthusiasm and encouragement. It contributed significantly to my choice of a 32 year career teaching English literature.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Teedee, Mary Liz and all the family. I can't help but smile a little thinking that Father Edward is now with Great Aunt Freida, Great Uncle Ed, Babe and Harry Quinlan and my mom, Betsy de Leon and what a joyous reunion that must be.

Thinking of you all,

Touky Van Winkle (de Leon), Mike and Dani de Leon and Paul and Joy de Leon

Father Stackpoole hired me as a member of the University of San Francisco's English Department in 1969. He was a valued colleague and friend throughout the following twenty-nine years. I am very sorry that an already scheduled trip to Washington, D.C. will prevent me from attending the funeral Mass and expressing my condolences in person to the members of his family and those of the Jesuit community.
