I have been a casual friend of Ted for twenty-two years. How casual, well for twenty-two years I never heard him play his banjo, in fact, I never knew he played the banjo. What I do know is that after his beloved Jean passed, Ted could be seen almost daily at the cemetery with his memories and thoughts. His devotion to Jean never faltered.

During this time of mourning, I would like to express my sincere condolence at the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in persistent prayers, as “the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your heart and your mental powers.” [Phil. 4:7] I certainly hope that the help God can give at this time will make a difference.

Dear Stagman family, I am Alanna (Kowalec) Ayre and took guitar lessons from your father for 3 years when your family lived in Flint. Your Dad was a neighbor to my Mother Anna(Eckert) Kowalec on the east side of Flint. He also taught my Mom how to drive. I remember my Mom taking about your grandma Clara very fondly. Just wanted to extend my sympathy your Dad was a very nice person and I know he will be greatly missed.

Jody and Dawn, I am so very glad to have visited with Uncle Ted in October. He was a joy to be with as always and I loved to hear his stories. He even told a story about my dad, Robert, that my mom hadn't even heard. I would have loved to have spent more time with him. I know you will miss him terribly and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you both as well as the grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers go with you. All my love, your cousin Terry
