Not sure what to say?

My first introduction to Ed Stone was through Daniel "Dan" Camejo at the 2400 E. Oakland Pk. Blvd. office in the late 60's. He and Daniel planned and worked together on making Complejo Turistico El Morro.
Whenever we came to the States the first stop was to visit Ed. I only knew him in a non professional way. He was sweet and dear, with a wonderful heart and a lot of Patience. My condolences to all the family and an abrazo to Doug Coolman who was also there..long years ago, long time ago...

Out of the countless people that pass through our lives, very few make a meaningful impact. Ed was one of those people in my life. He was always patient, considerate and encouraging during discussions when our paths crossed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this trying time.

Ed is, and will always be the greatest at very many aspects of a good life...for me: inspiring mentor, ring-master for binges of fun and laughter, inspiration for better efforts. Still inspiring: live well and truly, laugh often and heartily, love freely!

Ed Stone was an inspiration to all young people interested in landscape architechture. His Ft. Lauderdale office was like a family.

Ed Stone was a gentleman and a mentor in every sense of the word. I had the honor to work with him for many years and feel like I am a better person for having known him. He will be missed.

It's hard to find the right words. Ed Stone was family. His family was family. The last time I saw him was at Mothers funeral many years ago...we shed many tears...Mother worked for Ed for many years...as did I on and off...I "baby sat Ned and Trish"...put up his storm shutters...raced to airports hither and yon as he was always late...washed his cars...helped manage his office on Oakland Park Blvd (Mother was always the boss..lol)...He was one of my heroes...

Ed Stone was a remarkable man in so many ways...talented, caring and a good friend to all. His passing will touch many. I am honored to have known him for more than 30 years. Our most sincere sympathy to his wife Lollie and his entire family, and to the fine staff of EDSA.

Few pass through this life with a broad, kind and encompassing heart; a talent for creating beauty; a passion for nurturing and celebrating nature; the capacity to lead by example through an extraordinary commitment to excellence; possessing a grounded sense of self; and with a constant desire to help, guide, lead, mentor, and inspire others. For the forty years that I knew Ed, these were among the extraordinary qualities that defined his life.

I'll miss my friend with whom I played tennis over the years at the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Ed was an exceptional human being who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
