Always a lite for u Dr Stool

Dr Stool was always chasing a new dream or a new idea. He had a wonderful way of relating to people and drawing them out. He truly was an unparalled healer and man. Many people misunderstood him, as yes, he was a complex person. In the final analysis, I know Dr Stool would want the biggest and the best of everything for his patients, his dogs, his wife, and his son. Here's to hoping that he's found greatness and a new adventure, and that if he burdens himself looking back; that he...

I just found out at the Texas Medical Association meeting that Dr. Stool had passed away when we were honoring those physician members who had died over the past year. I knew Dr. Stool at Sam Houston Hospital about 28 years ago when he did consulting work there. He was one of the smartest physicians I have ever known. He was demanding of others if he thought his patients were not being attended to properly; but he was also very personable and kind under that superficially gruff exterior!! ...

What a legacy you left behind!! I first met you in 1982 at Katy Community Hospital. I was a new nurse graduate, and knew from that first night what was expected. You truly cared ,and devoted many hrs looking over your patients labs, xrays ,etc often times into the wee hours. You were truly a "Master" physician! I say thank you Dr Stool for sharing with me that the true meaning of medicine is from the heart! I will forever remember.

Janet,

First, please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of your husband. Though I never met you or your husband in person, you both greatly impacted my family's life.

The conversation we had when I called seeking a physican for my mother it still echted in my mind. Dr. Stool saved my mother, Kathy Kennedy, and I will never be able to express in words my gratitude.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

Rick and I(Conny) were very shocked by this news...our sincerest sympathies go to all family members as well as the staff at PPH....and Dr. Gathe.....he will be missed by all.....We are thinking of all of you...and miss you all very.

I really enjoyed Brets party for Dr Stool. Lots of us missed the family and really close friends. Make Dr Stool rest in peace at last.

What a blessed man. He was a GOD send to so many patients. My peace be with his family and know that he is with his parents. Though we miss him here on earth, he is all around us and watching over everyone and every thing he loved.

I feel blessed and proud to have known and worked with Dr. Stool. He truly cared for his patients, and often accepted patients whom no else would take and saved their lives. I had been years since I worked at PPH, but I could never think of Park Plaza without also thinking of Dr. Stool. I’m saddened to hear of his passing. My prayers for his family, friends, and staff at PPH.
